Campbell Cove Memory Care
Campbell Cove accommodates 36 memory care residents in three color-coded wings, each with a common living room and dining area along with 12 furnished private bedrooms. The residential wings join together in a large multipurpose area with an arts and crafts room, recreation center, country kitchen, and living room. The architectural design minimizes obstacles while the floor plan features way-finding cues and circulation paths to guide people from one place to another. Small yet distinctive neighborhoods reinforce familiarity and space is available to support family-size gatherings, as well. With its combination of personal and public spaces, this layout gives residents the opportunity for alone time; however, they can still participate in activities as they desire. A secure walking garden and landscaped patios give memory care residents the opportunity to spend time outdoors in a familiar and protected setting.
Hughes Center Skilled Nursing
Directly connected to Campbell Cove, the Hughes Center allows residents with dementia or Alzheimer’s disease to age in place more comfortably. A total of 24 private bedrooms with in-room showers are available for this living option, which combines person-centered care with skilled nursing services. When individuals face advanced memory challenges, it can be extremely difficult for them to adjust to new surroundings. So rather than force them to move and disrupt their routine, they can remain in a familiar setting in the Hughes Center as their disease progresses. Specialized care plus sensory-stimulating and enriching activities help preserve each memory care resident’s quality of life.

Early Signs Of Dementia Or Alzheimer’s Disease
- Unsafe living conditions. Forgetting little things like where things were placed or someone’s birthday can escalate to forgetting to turn off the water, gas stove or take prescribed medications.
- Agitation, mood swings, disruption in sleep, personality changes, and even delusions. Shifts in behavior may be caused by physical discomfort and the inability to express it or by being easily confused.
- Bills going unpaid; trouble understanding money, debt, credit, and contracts; becoming vulnerable to scams and sweepstakes. Cognitive skills, problem solving and judgment are all impacted by dementia.
- Changes to physical appearance such as weight loss or gain, poor hygiene. Alzheimer’s disease affects procedural memory, which is the ability to carry out certain routine actions such as bathing, dressing, brushing teeth, medication management, and more.
- Confusion, disorientation and wandering. Dementia destroys brain cells responsible for thinking and behavior, causing people to become confused and easily get lost.
