Offering a secure, homelike environment, Campbell Cove uses an activity-focused design to maintain cognitive and physical functioning. Residents receive loving, nurturing care and assistance with the actions of daily living.
Campbell Cove accommodates 36 residents who are able to participate in specially created activities. The Cove includes three color-coded bays, Camelia, Azalea and Magnolia. Each bay has a common living room and dining area, plus 12 furnished private bedrooms. Personalizing rooms to re-create a familiar surrounding is encouraged. Retaining continence is considered a significant issue for personal dignity, so each bedroom is specifically designed to support this goal.
The residential wings join together with a large multipurpose area, arts and crafts room, recreation center, country kitchen and living room. Residents can venture outdoors on beautifully landscaped patios and in a large, secure walking garden.
Campbell Cove received an “exemplary” conformance to standard during the 2006 CARF-CCAC peer survey. Recognition was given for exhibiting a person-centered approach to programming. The survey team acknowledged, “Although activity programming is scheduled, the staff and management support unscheduled and unplanned activities to enhance quality of life and satisfaction of Campbell Cove residents.”
Our newest addition, the Hughes Center, is designed for those with advanced memory challenges. Additional assistance with activities of daily living is provided in an environment built to meet the unique needs of residents with advancing dementia.
The Hughes Center care philosophy recognizes that the progression of dementia can bring a point when participation in an array of group activities is not longer enjoyed or beneficial. So the Hughes Center offers small-group sensory-stimulating activities.
The Hughes Center has two lanes, Honeysuckle and Jasmine, each with 12 furnished private bedrooms with discreet in-room shower and bath facilities. All units share a common living room, dining room, kitchen, and screened porch.
LEARN HOW WE CAN HELPTODAY
St. Catherine’s Village provides two exceptional memory care programs for individuals with memory loss due to Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Each provides a warm, home-like environment, designed to be comfortable and inviting, for residents and visitors alike.
Central to St. Catherine’s Village memory care philosophy is seeing each individual as just that, and designing a care plan to the individual. Most importantly, we recognize that maintaining a sense of autonomy is primary to happiness, so we always consider the resident’s wishes in caring for cognitive issues, memory loss, recreation and more.
