Ballet Magnificat

Ballet Magnificat

Kick off “Celebrate The Season” with a traditional performance by Ballet Magnificat!

Ballet Magnificat! is an arts organization dedicated to presenting the good news of Jesus Christ. Its professional touring companies have performed nationally and internationally, ministering to audiences in the United States as well as Czech Republic, Canada, Belize, Honduras, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Singapore, Germany, Netherlands, Slovakia, Poland, Belgium, Greece, France, Italy, Macedonia, Kosovo, Israel, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Cayman Islands, Switzerland, Korea, Philippines, and China. Under the direction of Kathy Thibodeaux, the touring companies bring spiritual concepts to life through the powerful medium of dance. The Artists of Ballet Magnificat! come from around the world to spread the life changing message of Jesus Christ.

There’s so much happening throughout the season at St. Catherine’s Village. So no matter what holidays you observe, celebrate with us. Check back for specific activities and events during December.

Tuesday, 5th

Party 2:30 pm

Marian Hall, Lakeview dining room.

Top O’ Dom Party!

Sign-up for the bus in the front lobby and join us at the top of St. Dominic Building for food & drinks. Hosted by St. Dominic’s Sisters and Staff. You will be there for approximately 1 hour before returning with the group based on the time you sign-up for. This a GREAT event with a wonderful view and good company!


Wednesday, 6th

Campbell Cove in Atrium (same as last year)


Thursday, 7th

Party 11 am

In Hughes Center.

2-3 pm:  SCV Christmas Party

In the Activity Room. Join us for a holiday celebration with entertainment by Sonja Loper and Fran along with our very own Helen Wetherbee and Alan Lessem! Light refreshments will be served. Hope to see you there in your “Merry Wear.”

A list of the apartments and homes hosting will be sent out prior to the event. The bus will be transporting to the homes at 1:30 and 2:30 from the front lobby. Please sign-up for the bus in the front lobby prior to the event.


Friday, 22nd

10:30 am:  Musical Performance by Nicholas McGowan and friends

(son of Assistant Director, David of Maintenance at SCV) Their harmony and skills will have you amazed! Activity Room.


Sunday, 31st

6:30-8 pm:  New Year’s Eve Party

Entertainment by Dan Michael Colbert’s Band and a great spread of appetizers and drinks will be served. Come celebrate the new year with your friends at SCV!

Join us for our annual First Responders Appreciation Celebration featuring a savory barbecue meal prepared by our world-class chef. We have a delicious opportunity to show our support to the Ridgeland Police and Fire Departments, the Madison Police and Fire Departments, the Pafford Ambulance team, Madison County Sheriff’s Department, and Metro One responders who dedicate their lives to helping ours!
